Doctor Paul L. Sanders :: Large Animal Veterinarian
Veterinary School :: Colorado State University

Pets:
Through the years various pets have been our families best friends....dogs, cats and rabbits mainly.
'Toby' our Shih Tzu has been a great companion to all of us and even the grandchildren.
We have a
tortoise cat named 'Sunny'  who keeps 'Toby' in line.

Background:

I grew up in rural northern Wyoming, the town of Otto, where my mother's country store was the main
attraction for years!  I went to grade school there and  then drove 20 miles to Greybull for High School
graduating in 1963.  I spent many hours as a youth caring for my rabbits, gardening under the direction
of my mother, and helping care for the milk cows, pigs, and chickens. My interest in veterinary medicine
began at this time. In 1968, I married Mary Ann Briggs here in Logan never realizing I would return to
live the majority of my lifehere; and raise my six children---Anna Marie, Brenda, Paul, Tom, Rich and Andy.
I now enjoy my children and their spouses and grandchildren very much.  Camping, hiking, 4-wheeling,
fishing in northern Wyoming and Utah have been a great pleasure; as well as gardening, woodworking,
reading and just being a handy-man for my wife.  We like to travel and visit family, too!

Work Experience:
I attended NorthWest Community College in Powell, Wyoming for 2 years graduating with honors in June of 1968.
I got married that summer we moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where I began school and received my B.S. Degree
in Veterinary Science in 1970 and in 1972 I received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree; all from Colorado State
University. My greatest interest even at that time was the large animal side and I found my first job in a Mixed Practice
in Lovell, Wyoming,(6/72-11/73); then Rexburg, Idaho (11/73-6/74); on to Tremonton, Utah (6/74-8/76); and then we
moved to Logan, Utah to join Dr. E.H. Gibson and his son, Dr. James P. Gibson and became partners in the Cache
Animal Hospital.  In 1979 we joined forces with Dr. Roger Johnson and formed the Bridgerland-Cache Animal Hospital
and have been a busy mixed practice.  My interest has remained with fertility work of the dairy cow and other large animals.
The clients have been a large part of the enjoyment I've found in working in the large animal part of the practice. Thank You!
